How to upload software to DMbox 500s

hi you need

1.null modem cable
2.dreamup software for dm500s!
3.a image file gemini,TDW etc (i use TDW)

follow instructions below


Load Dreamup If its checkbox USE LAN enabled please uncheck it, and select the com port you have dreambox connecgted to i.e com3. Press Connect and you will se message "connection prepared" and than TURN ON your DM, just turn cable in wall. If everything is ok in DreamUP you will see message like "Ok, uploading" and there will be statusbar.

When its finished you need to press button Erase, that will erase "old" files in memory. That will be usefull. This part is same for all DM receivers. You will need to wait until button Flash is available, and than you will know that process of erasing is sucess. finished. When that is finieshed you need to press button Flash and choose image maked for your type of Dream. DONT USE ANY OTHER IMAGE LIKE DM 500 IMAGE FOR DM 7000. Just use image for DM 7000. Well image for DM 7000 is only used on DM 7000. When you choose good image and if everything is ok you will see status bar which will tell you how much % of sw was uploaded to box. Usually that will be process of 10 minutes.

When that operation is finished, and DreamUP send 100% of sw to the box system will still erasing some parts of old sw in your box, and dont panic. DO NOT turn off your box until you see message on it "Result 0", that will be sign that image was success. uploaded in your box. Click on OK on box. TURN OFF DREAMUP SOFTWARE and unplug nullmodem cable from PC, turn it off from power and than and than turn it on. If all process was sucess. you will se on your TV intro config picture for the image which you have upload on your box, if something was wrong start all from begin.
